Growing up, the kitchen was something I ran away from. Anything more than browning beef or stirring something for a few minutes and I was out of there! As a young adult and young wife, I have chosen *by my own free will* to take on the stereotypical role of "wife" and I have learned to cook!

6 Thoughts After 2 Months of Marriage
July 27 marked two months of my marriage into the Ortiz family!
During the last two months, Eric and I have moved in to our first apartment, paid our first bills, survived our first sickness, and almost completed two rounds of summer classes. I have also survived the SUPER FUN task of changing my name (seriously...why is this so painfully tedious). Eric and I are learning how to make decisions together and we are always working to improve our communication.Friday, April 14, 2017
Eric Gave Me A Binder And It May Have Saved My Life
While Eric and I were home for spring break, we had a total of three wedding showers...in one week! By the end of spring break, my head had been so wrapped up in apartment things, wedding things and marriage things...I REALLY did not want to come back to my dorm room at ASU.

10 Reasons Why Snapchat Discover is Life
As apps evolve, most long-term users are nothing but upset over a change. I will admit that having to re-learn how to use Snapchat a few times has been frustrating. For those relatively new to the snap game, there was a time when you had to hold down snaps to view them, and they would keep counting down the viewing seconds if you released your finger...imagine trying to grab a quick screenshot with three engaged fingers, instead of just two...crazy, I know.

App State Nails
College is the time to discover what you have a passion for and how you could possibly spend that "9-5" time for the rest of your life.
For Appalachian State University sophomore, Sarah McCoy, this passion can be found both in Molecular Biology and in the highly coveted art of painting nails.

I slept 8-9 hours for a week and this is what happened
About two weeks ago, I received yet another email from a group on App's campus inviting me to sign up for something. The email was an invitation to register for different studies the economics department would be conducting throughout the year and the email included that participants would be compensated for at least some of the studies, so of course I registered myself!
